The Port
The Mahon Port is considered as one of the best ports in the world. In close proximity to the port is Finca de San Antonio where Admiral Nelson and his mistress Lady Hamilton were said to have lived their legendary romance.
Aquarium
At the Aquarium, you will witness a fascinating exhibition of a wide array of Mediterranean fauna and flora. This large aquarium is to be found at the port, and is open from Monday up to Friday (from 9.30 - 13.00 and 16.00 - 19.00), Saturdays (from 9.00 - 14.00), Sundays (from 11.00 - 13.00)
Distilerias Xoriguer
The renowned Distilerias Xoriguer or the Xoriguer Gin Distillery is to be found at the harbor of Moll de Ponent 91. More than a just a distillery, this building has long been a favorite tourist spot. Visiting this premise will enable you to witness the process of coming up with the finest gin. What’s most enjoyable is surely the sampling of the gin and many other brews at the end of the factory tour. The distillery is open from Monday through Friday (from 8 am to 7 pm), and on Saturdays (from 9 am to 1 pm). There is also a store within the area that sells the gin and other famous liquors.

Plaza Espana
The Plaza España offers splendid views of the bay and harbor. It is accessed through a winding flight of steps from the pier. In the plaza is a general market and fish market during the mornings.
Ateneo Científico y Literario
In this edifice, you will be able to observe a chief collection of fossils, historical maps and ceramic articles.
Church of Santa María
The Church of Santa Maria is more popularly known among the locals as the Esglesia de Santa María la Major. This place of worship was founded in the year 1287 by the Christian conqueror King Alfonso III. Throughout the passing of time, the authentic Gothic formation of the church has been much altered, and it was restored in the year 1772. It houses a treasured musical organ that is comprised of four keyboards and more than 3,000 pipes, constructed in 1810 by Johan Kyburz, a Swiss artisan. Admiral Collingwood brought the said organ to Mahón during the Napoleonic wars. At present, a music festival is held every year, in the months of July and August, aimed to put on show the wonderful sound of the organ.

Cales Coves
Cales Coves is to be found 11 kilometers to the west of Mahon in Menorca and is easily accessible by bus. This multifaceted group of very old caves is a well-known tourist attraction and is best viewed from the sea, where the numerous caves and chambers can be fully appreciated. The caves were once utilized as burial hollows during the Talayotic period and later became the most important site for pagan rituals in Menorca.
Gobierno Militar (Military Governor's House)
The Military Governor's House is to be found at Carrer Isabel II in Mahon. It is without doubt, considered as one of the most impressive structures in the whole of Mahon. This imposing fortress was erected in the middle of the 18th century and today, it is still worth seeing even if it can only be viewed from the outside. The building is still being used by the army up to this day.
