Bar Restaurant España
The Bar Restaurant España is now a time-honored dining place. It has been around for the different generations of Menorcans to enjoy since the year 1938. Much of its success as a restaurant is attributed to the large servings of really good food, at very reasonable prices. For the many decades that this restaurant has been around, it is not a wonder that their patrons have included other vacationing nationalities. Of course the menu has been well thought of in order to satisfy various tastes of their international customers.
A few examples of dishes to be found on their menu are cigales a la americana (prawns in a spicy red sauce), shrimp with garlic, mussels marinara, baked fish (especially hake and cod), grilled veal and pork, and beefsteaks grilled and served with a definite Spanish flamboyance.

Jàgaro
Jagaro is said to be Menorca’s most appealing destination for diverse seafood favorites. One example is the Ensalada templada con Cigalitos y Setas, a mix of temperate prawns and feral mushrooms served on a bed of lettuce. The Mosaico de Verduras, a plate of grilled fresh vegetables, is also among its superb selection. Main courses may include carpaccio de mero (grouper) served with a tangy, green mustard sauce, caldereta de langosta (lobster stew), or ortigas (sea anemones). Its list of a wide variety of seafood dishes is a long one, and it will surely take lots of visits to be able to try them all. However, for the meat lovers, there are also meat dishes being served in this restaurant. One example is the tempting duck maigret (breast) in orange sauce and foie gras with sweet-and-sour sauce. Like any other Mahon restaurant adjacent to the port, La Minerva Restaurant is one of the finest in the city, specializing in fresh seafood such as clams, mussels, and lobster.
