Although these prominent and esteemed sailing events are done in the adjacent island of Mallorca (such as the King's Cup and also the Princesa Sofia Trophy, the foremost sailors from all over Europe prefer to dock their boats in the Menorca coastline. And for those who are not hard core sailors at all and just want to experience something new for a little while, some beach resorts in Menorca offer boat rental service even just for an hour to two.
Menorca Windsurfing
Menorca is an ideal place to learn how to windsurf. Several beach resorts encourage this activity and provide facilities for this exciting water sport. In fact, more than a few beaches are already gaining more and more visitors due to this sport. There is also a small school along the coast teaching how to windsurf and allows renting out of equipment as well.

Menorca, being a coastal region, definitely is very conducive to various water sport activities. So far, the actively practiced water sports in Menorca are high-speed water biking, paragliding behind speedboats, water-skiing, rubber rafting behind speedboats, sea kayaking, and of course, the ever popular scuba diving.
Menorca Golf Courses
Golf is a popular sport in Menorca, and even on the nearby islands of Mallorca and Ibiza. The locals of Menorca are proud to have the Son Parc Golf Course. The only golf course in the island, Son Parc Golf Course is a championship quality course, ideal for beginners and experienced golfers alike. The entire course is both challenging and strikingly impressive. It is to be found just a few hundred meters from the award winning Son Parc beach on the north coast of Menorca. The golf course opened with nine holes, and subsequently was extended to 14 holes a few years later. It is forecasted to be a full 18-hole course as of early 2006. One of the several amusing natural wonders of the Golf Son Parc Menorca is the assembly of peacocks that lives behind the third green. In this golf course, equipment is available for hire and golf lessons should always be booked in advance.
Menorca Horse Riding
The horse is a vital creature to the Menorca people, to the point that almost all of the festivals in the island are themed after it. Horse training is a time honored discipline in Menorca and if you come at the right day of the week, equestrian shows are organized weekly fro the tourists to witness. However, the most frequent horse races are held in the islands of Mallorca and Ibiza.
As for horse riding, there are several horse riding schools in Menorca as well as in all of the Balearic Islands. These schools cater both the beginners and advanced horse riders. Menorca has more than a few accessible riding trails, and all riding activities are safely under the control of an instructor.
